PillPack Want to Simplify Patient Ordering Prescription Drugs

pillpackPillPack, startup presenting medication delivery services online from New Hampshire, continues to expand. They are now present in 47 states in the land of Uncle Sam after receiving the approval of the authorities to allow consumers ordering prescriptions, general medicine and vitamins from the new service.

Uniquely, PillPack has a number of insurance schemes that include Express Scripts to sort and send patient prescription needed.

Startup must compete with drug stores and pharmacies that already exist such as CVS and Walgreens. The CEO TJ Parker said it understood that people who regularly take medication continuously had to visit the pharmacy, sorting pill box, check for updated prescriptions, and must bargain with the insurance company.

“We started PillPack to solve this problem and replace it with a more simple experience,” he said.

PillPack, which was launched a year ago, using robotic technology to sort out beforehand and give a date for prescription drugs for each patient and then send a short message to the consumer when the pill has been shipped, which greatly facilitate the consumers.

PillPack not provide information on the number of users, revenue, market share and growth rate in detail. However, jubirnya said PillPack continues to increase its sales volume equivalent to a retail drug store.
